ABOUT US
Jalvayu Vihar Sanskritik Kalyan Samiti (JVSKS) is a registered non-profit community organization. Our mantra is to touch the lives of people in society who are in need and to preserve the heritage and culture of India and Bengal.
In 1992 a group of imaginative and enthusiastic Bengalis from Noida instituted JVSKS to establish a cultural and social base here in Jalvayu Vihar (Sector 21 and 25, Noida) through celebrating socio cultural and religious events like Durga puja, Lakshmi puja, Saraswati puja, Bijaya Sammellani. Keeping it up with the glorious tradition 'JVSKS' today now stands alone as the undisputed foremost organization of all the Bengali communities in Noida. Moreover as part of their social responsibility, JVSKS support local talents in the field of music, dance and drama. In the field of social work also they have an enviable record where they have done substantial work in helping victims of natural calamities (viz. Uttarakhand disaster in 2013) and donating money to Ramakrishna Mission for their philanthropic mission. Every year they distribute bhog prasad to thousands of people across every section of our society.
Durga Puja in Noida’s Jalvayu Vihar is the true melting pot - organized and funded on a voluntarily basis by the community members of Jalvayu Vihar as also supported by several corporate organizations and generous individuals. All residents of Jalvayu Vihar are an integral part of this puja as they adore Bengalis and find their colourful festivals fascinating. Thousands of devotess queue up for pratima darshan and to savour bhog and prasad along with us.
